ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm yuna2k, a comic artist and illustrator from Chile.
I come from a background in architecture, but I've always loved drawing. I was never particularly consistent with it, though, and yuna2k started as a way to push myself to make more art.
I've mainly made illustrations for musician friends, and more recently I've become absorbed by the underground world of techno. Somehow, my work seems to be —and probably always will be— closely linked to music.
ABOUT MVNDY
MVNDY is a comic written, drawn, inked, and colored by yuna2k, currently in development.
This website documents the development of the project through drawings, ideas, experiments, character development, worldbuilding, and other recovered material.
TESTIMONIES
I commissioned yuna2k to draw the very first piece for Splash Screen, quxnet's new program that features art by our own members on the Home screen. He took the brief and turned it into something unmistakably ours, better than I'd envisioned even. He was professional and a pleasure to work with. Our community loved the piece! There was an outpouring of appreciation for his work and it's inspired other artists to reach out about participating. Thanks yuna2k!
If I had to resume my experience collaborating with yuna2k it would be: fast workflow, trust, interest in mutual support, mutual admiration, similar paths and extreme conviction (I'm a man of few words).
Dedicated to Evangelion fan #2—because I'm #1 😊—the most hardcore graphic artist I've ever met in real life, who's proactive when it comes to creating, motivated to produce his work, and brings his drawings to life by printing them.
The cool thing about working with Yuna is that there’s a great back-and-forth exchange of ideas. I always have a clear vision of the visual concepts I want for my covers, and the times I’ve had the pleasure of working with Yuna, the ideas just flowed and came to life on paper in a very authentic way. I’m looking forward to working together or collaborating on a project again, because I know it’ll be something truly exceptional.
